Challenge

Nissan wanted to expand beyond its existing Amazon Alexa skill by launching a Google Home action. But deeper issues surfaced:

  • Flawed user flows within the Alexa experience

  • Middleware that obscured visibility into voice interactions

  • Legacy code and on-premise infrastructure limiting scalability

To succeed, Nissan needed a partner who could deliver both voice innovation and a cloud-native transformation.

Solution

Voice Innovation: Designed a 60-page Voice User Interface (VUI) for Google Home and improved Amazon Alexa flows. Delivered four tailored experiences: Nissan ICE, Nissan EV, Infiniti Demo, and Infiniti InTouch.

  • Cloud Migration: Rebuilt middleware from Java/on-prem to Node.js in AWS—delivered in just seven months, fully certified by both Google and Amazon.

  • End-to-End Testing: Validated experiences across vehicles and environments, ensuring reliability for drivers worldwide.
